At various periods of his career he has been with the World Bank, USAID (Director) and agencies of the Govt. of India. Author of numerous publications and articles; taught at the School for Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Energy & Env. Resources program, Johns Hopkins University, Wash DC. Currently resident of Bangalore (India) and Pittsburgh (USA) and engaged in public services avidly devoted to the cause of energy and water resource management and conservation.


Elstan Anthony Fernandez

Experienced Marine Electrical Professional & Author, Fuel Cell Command Center Manager & Start-up Specialist

Mr. Elston has experience of more than 36 years. He has been India Head of the Command Center for Technology Support and Remote Operations of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell-based Distributed Energy Servers in the US and Japan @ Bloom Energy Corp (also coordinated with multiple product development and engineering teams – to maintain continuous operation of Bloom’s international fleet of Energy Servers).

Some International Experiences are:
Sunnyvale, California, USA – Between 2009 and 2013: About 4 months (3 visits) for product training and various business requirements – as a Senior Manager and subsequently as an Assistant General Manager, Bloom Energy Corp, USA
Manila, Philippines (and all major ports in the Philippines) – 2008 : 6 months as an Electrical Officer and Faculty for Marine Engineering cadets from 5 countries – onboard TS Spirit of MOL, Mitsui OSK Lines, Japan
Shanghai, China – 2004 – 05 : 5 Months’ deputation as a Foreign Expert at Shanghai Maritime University (Merchant Marine College)
Riga, Latvia – 1987 – 88 : 13 Months’ Specialization in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control Systems for Conventional Submarines’

GEF is gov listed registered NGO working for Environment, energy and people. GEF is organising training programs educating and making awareness on green buildings with GRIHA, LEED IGBC, ECO Housing and promoting eco housing at national front. GEF is also working with NABARD under innovation scheme for empowering farmers under sustainable water management and energy program. Recently launched GRIHA tied up with PCMC promoting eco housing at PCMC educating and making awareness amongst builders and developers.
She is also Director of Global Green Energy & Sustainability Solutions Pvt ltd. Which provides total environment solutions, work as sustainability partner having strengths in Water, Waste and Energy Original Licensee of MBBR Norway Swedish technology pioneer in Effluent and Sewage treatment plants having more than 600 plants successfully running in 14 countries, turn key providers, Manufacturing Solar -LED products with French and US collaborations, Bio Gas, Green building certifications like LEEDS, GRIHA and Eco Housing.
She had been Director Oscan for 8 years.
